Le r\u00e9seau mesure la qualit\u00e9 de l'air en temps r\u00e9el et suit l'\u00e9volution des niveaux des principaux polluants, dont notamment le dioxyde d'azote, l'ozone et les particules fines. Ce r\u00e9seau sert de base pour informer et alerter la population notamment les personnes sensibles en cas de pic de pollution.
