L'Unit\u00e9 Comparative d\u2019Exposition au bruit (UCEden) est un indice bas\u00e9 sur l'indice de bruit Lden et est \u00e9valu\u00e9 sur base de la cartographie strat\u00e9gique du bruit. L'exposition d'un site est caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e en fonction du nombre de personnes g\u00ean\u00e9es et du niveau Lden r\u00e9el auquel ces personnes sont expos\u00e9es. A cet effet, l'UCE au bruit des transports terrestres est d\u00e9finie suivant la formule indiqu\u00e9e dans la l\u00e9gende o\u00f9 l'UCEden est sans unit\u00e9, et N correspond au nombre d'habitations sur le site, Pi correspond au nombre de personnes domicili\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019habitation i, et Li est \u00e9gal au niveau de bruit Lden \u00e0 la fa\u00e7ade la plus expos\u00e9e de l'habitation i. Bien que le niveau Li soit exprim\u00e9 en dB, l'UCEden est en fait un indicateur sans dimension, combinant les personnes expos\u00e9es et le niveau d\u2019exposition de l'habitation qu'elles occupent.
